Yellow Crocus
Last week we had mild temperatures around 18°C (this week winter is back again with frost and snow) and nature started immediately its spring show with these bright shiny Yellow Crocuses.
Together with the Witch-Hazel, the Lenten Rose and the Snowdrop, the Crocus is one of the first well known flowers to bloom late winter.
Yellow Crocus grows wild in Greece, most of the Balkan countries and North West Turkey.
Dutch name : Gele krokus
German name : Gold-Krokus
Latin name : Crocus flavus
