      It's a sad, but peaceful landscape. Most valleys have a cosy, comforting character - embracing homes, people and animals. This one doesn't. Some of the roads around there are distinctly pink - from a pink rock taken from the nearby Biddlestone Quarry. I suppose it helps highlight an empty track that is not going anywhere in particular. Perhaps it's a landscape in retirement, Bert.
