The Middle Ages (31) : Crusader
This series is an attempt to illustrate how life was going on in the Middle Ages.
A crusader was a knight specially selected to fight in one of the crusades.
The medieval crusades were a series of religious wars, blessed by the pope and the catholic church, with the main goal of restoring christian access to the holy places in and near Jerusalem.
Photographed at medieval festival of castle Sterckshof (Deurne, Belgium).
