The Fungi World (376) : Woolly Velvet Polypore
This very young specimen of the woolly velvet polypore looked like a luminous pancake in the forest….. :-))
This fungus can be found all year long, most frequently in coniferous forests.
Causes root rot, primarily in spruce.
Extremely rare !!
Dutch name : -- (doesn’t exist)
German name : Gestielter Filzporling
Latin name : Onnia tomentosa (previous Inonotus tomentosum)
