Thrangu Monastery and Temple, Canada's first traditional Tibetan Buddhist monastery, was officially opened in Richmond, just south of Vancouver, on July 25, 2010 by the Very Venerable Khenchen Thrangu Rinpoche.

Un bouddha au corps d'or pur où la lumière joue une partition sacrée! L'aura bleue , rendue visible avec ses rayons ondulants comme sous une brise légère, est un contrepoint presque aérien à l'assise solide du Bouddha. Les diverses pierres précieuses et ornementations à motifs ouvragés qui entourent la statue lui créent une seconde auréole pleine de vie et de sens divers, quelle splendeur!
