Sylt Impressions [ #4 ]

On a one day trip to the Island of Sylt with Westerland and List.

The "Minden" under the ownership of the well known "German Lifeboat Institution" in List harbour. Its a 23m-cruiser with a speed of 18knots, powered by a double propeller drive with around 1000 hp each.
The ship is manned by a 9-men crew, 4 of them constantly on board.

The orange stripes on that ship are a real eyecatcher in this otherwise monochrome winter picture.

Hallo Matthias, jetzt habe ich lange genug auf dieses Bild geschaut. Deine Serie "Sylt Impressionen" ist einfach schön! Nur dieses Bild, vom Motiv sehr gut, ist mir etwas dunkel und nicht brilliant genug. Ist die Stimmung so gewesen, dann vergiss, was ich geschrieben habe oder ist es wieder die wohlbekannte Geschmachsache? :-)

Sehr gut, passt mit dem Rot und Grau. Als Segler find ich die Aufnahme natürlich besonders gut.

great shot! must have been a freezing day – the bluish gray of both air and ice make it look very cold indeed! i bet the minden will be glad, if on a day like that she won't have to go out and rescue anyone ; )! like the "snowcapped" pole in the foreground a lot, and the bright and hopeful orange of the brave little ship! greetings, sabine.
