Die Nilgans (Alopochen aegyptiaca) ist afrikanischen Ursprungs und lebt an nahrungsreichen Binnenseen und Flüssen. Sie gilt als der häufigste afrotropische Entenvogel. In den letzten Jahrzehnten breitete sich die Nilgans entlang des Rheins in Mitteleuropa aus, wobei sie auch in städtischen Parks, an Badeseen und anderen von Menschen häufig frequentierten Orten vorkommt.

The Egyptian goose (Alopochen aegyptiaca) is of African origin and lives on food-rich inland lakes and rivers. It is considered the most common Afrotropical duck bird. In recent decades, the Nile Goose spread along the Rhine into Central Europe, also occurring in urban parks, at bathing lakes and other places frequently frequented by humans.
