Ray Harryhausen at NY hotel
I had the good fortune, in the early 1980's to meet the great special effects artist Ray Harryhausen. He was in town promoting his film "Clash of the Titans" and appearing at a convention. At a display of his work at the Museum of Modern Art, I met a woman who was in charge of one of his fan clubs. She was about to meet with Harryhausen, and invited me to accompany her and a few others. They left me alone with him for a while, and I took several pictures, of which this is one.
