Nudity is my beauty...

Greece
Aegean Sea/Cyklades
island of Amorgos, one of the barest island in Cyklades.

According to Mythology, Amorgos was a very beautiful nymph that refused going to bed with Zeus, the king of Gods. Zeus infuriated threw her, as naked as the day she was born, from Mount Olympus to Aegean Sea only to be rescued by his brother and rival Poseidon king of the Sea offering her a rock to rest.He then took her in his underwater kingdom but the rock, the island Amorgos, remained for ever as bare as the nymph in order to perpetuate the beauty of her nudity...

My dear Leo, It's absolutely impossible to dig in the...abyssean depth of Greek Mythology and emerge able to remember not only the myth but also the amazing variations that the very productive mind of after coming story tellers twisted around every single one of them!.. You can't win! Could anybody beat Baron Munchausen?

poseidon, the old rascally shark, has done it again: the renowned collector of nymphs added yet another "gala piece" to his collection and… fresh fuel to the ongoing quarrel between him and his rivaling brother zeus! gee… excuse me… by jupiter! is there a rock in greece at all that does NOT have a damsel in distress on it?? for crying out loud – no! for knocking out mortals with ligntning bolts!! – show a little mercy, gods, and give those poor harassed fresh- and saltwater girls a break!

    ; )

greetings, sabine. p.s.: thank god, for the quick-thinking clouds that have come to the rescue, shrouding amorgos in an opasque and cooling vapor – shield against voyerism and sunshine alike!

The playground of the Gods and where so many myths and legends were born. Truth or myth does not really matter,it is a beautiful story and is an interesting 'explanation' as to why this island is ao very bare.
    Superb details and tonal range.

    :))

I love the story - and it may very well be true with this bald and rugged island coming out of the sea .... a fine image with great definition and textures, and the clouds are really magnificent !!!
    greetings, Adele
