Island in the Clouds

Numas Island - in the Queen Charlotte Strait - I took this late in the evening when crossing this stretch of water - we arrived across from Port McNeill on Vancouver Island at 1 am in the morning.....

Beautiful,serene atmosphere.Had the tiny piece of land been absent,it would be the absolut blend of sea and sky in the far end of the field...Fascinating picture!

the silent correspondence between the clouds and their inky reflections in the almost still water – so beautiful! and in the back the island: like a black sea creature sleeping… ; ) the low sky, that narrow piece of "living space" beween water and clouds – fascinating! hugs, sabine.
