wow, what a great close-up!!! : )))) and the eager look on his face is cracking me up! not sure who's hypnotizing whom here, though: he's obviously scanning the surface of the water, hypnotizing all the unsuspecting little fishies into obedience – "yes, that's right, my little ones, come to papa!" –, but the slightly perplexed look on his face makes me suspect that one of them – a quick-witted catfish maybe – is hypnotizing him right back! the expressive eye and how it's almost protruding from his head – fascinating! hugs, sabine. p.s.: herons won't ever cease to amaze me! there's a spot in our local park, where a creek is flowing through. it's frequented by two herons – they are always there, when i pass. a couple of days ago there was only one. the moment that thought – where's his pal?? – popped up in my mind, he also popped up! in the water right beside his buddy! he'd actually been under water with his whole body, diving! and he'd caught a fish on the way…
