.....what was on the inside of the front of a steam engine, well wonder no more, I captured this image in one of the engine repair sheds at the N.Y.M.R. Railroad station in N. Yorkshire England.....

my grandpa was blacksmith on those steam boilers and when I was a little boy I've sometimes been inside the old steam locomotives ... it was a normal place to play for me *g*

Well I guess I will sleep better tonight as I no longer wonder about the inside of an engine. With all that dark metal, this could have been a difficult shot. You have exposed this one very well.

All the tubes and bits and bobs that make these great steamers go. A good shot taking in quite difficult circumstances if I remember correctly. Well done.
