Classic photographic composition. This is not only a good photograph from the standpoint of viewing pleasure, it is also a good teaching tool, on the lessons of utilizing a rather flat lighting situation to the image-maker's advantage not to mention that classic composition and a pleasing POV and wisely chosen DOF for all elements to flourish.
