After the myth that's a piece of present history and reality in Cappadocia. On top of the mountain slope one can see the old remnants of the abandonned Greek houses of this once thriving Greek town of Prokopi, left behind when their tenants fled to Greece as refugees after the Lausanne treaty in 1923 put an end to their war conflict with excange of populations. Nearly a million and a half Greeks fled to Greece from many other parts of Turkey. Quite few of these residencies are still in use today by Turkish families. On the feet of the mountain slope, the new town Urgup(Prokopi) is being developping,

    This scens, for me would work so well if it was much larger. There is so much detail, so many dwellings, it is hard to define them all.
    It must be a very interesting area to visit.
