Skeleton of former lighthouse of Capelinhos, destroyed by sea volcano eruption in 1958-59, Faial Island, Azores, Portugal.
As the eruption took place a couple of miles on open ocean new land linked to coast and the lighthouse was interred. We can see the Ashes still cover the lava landscape.
