At the Tree-Line, Larch Valley - No.2
Larch Valley is a mountain-ledge plateau high above Moraine Lake (*) in the Banff Rockies of western Canada.
In autumn, its Lyall's Larches transition from green to radiant shades of gold.
Naturally, lots of shooting in color was done on this perfect autumn afternoon. Nor was black and white neglected. (**) But this particular scene, captured on Ektachrome VS slide film, seemed to call out for a monochrome version as well.
