Mahachai Market is the place where the seafood distribution to different parts of Thailand goes on.
In front to sell the dried squid which is used for special Thai dish called pla mueg heng.
Dried Squid (plah mohk haang in Thai) is one of the most popular street side snacks in Thailand. Hawkers with charcoal grills are found in all parts of Thailand with dried squid clipped like laundered clothes on the line. The dried squid is lightly grilled, the taste smokey, salty and chewy, making it an inexpensive satisfying low-fat, high protein snack.

Genau, der Geruch ist gewöhnungsbedürftig - gelinde gesagt. Aber ich mag sie auch recht gerne, ein kühles Singha-Bier dazu hilft gegen den salzigen Geschmack :-))LG, Herbert
