9/11 Memorial North Pool and Oculus

The North Pool of the 9/11 Memorial occupies the footprint of the North Tower of the
World Trade Center, destroyed in the terrorist attacks on this date in 2001.
Adjacent to it in this expansive plaza at World Trade Center in Lower Manhattan,
the South Pool marks where the South Tower stood. Freedom Tower - One World
Trade Center rises proudly near where I stood for this photo in June.

Beyond the Memorial, the Santiago Calatrava designed Oculus
transportation center with the Millennium Hilton Hotel rising just beyond it.

May I share also a memory of the Twin Towers, as seen from Midtown Manhattan.
