a very spontaneous trip to the Netherlands

Den Geburtstag der Königin feiern wohl alle, die Beine haben :-) Aber es war auch ein fantastischer Tag! Schön viel Sonne und Wärme. Nichtorange trugen vermutlich nur die Touristen, die sich wie wir mitten rein getraut hatten :-)

Queen´s Day - the Kingdom of the Netherlands celebrates the birthday of the Queen.
This is a party, a festivity, a celebration of such a large scale, you cannot imagine, if you are not there to experience.
That day the city centre of Amsterdam is closed for traffic, no car, no tram rides into the inner city.
Well, on the very next day the huge mountains of trash along the streets are a little disgusting, but the heck with it :-)
