Part of the article contains i-stock photo..no I am not with i-stock,- but a couple of my friends are...and at this point make around $ 300,- a month with their images...images that otherwise collect dust..
certainly it is a nice way to earn money for your toys
and it is something to think about ( even though I hate nearly giving away each images for such a small amount)
...but the whole idea may not be for everyone...but I certainly do not think it is something to laugh about either.

Its just a matter of economics.
How much do you have to sell at 0.50 per piece in order to make 300 bucks?
Just see how much time you need to prepair and upload 600 pictures ?
My accountant will tell me to stop as it is not economical.
And then i am not yet taking into consideration the time and effort to make these pics.

Ruud...if you only sell each photo one time you are absolutely right...but some images may sell as often as 1000 times...and more,- really depends on your photo and the need of it...
I took a look at Istock because it is linked to Adobe, but when they asked for my social insurance number and copy of my drivers licence I kissed them goodbye. The percentages they paid are ridiculous and once your images are royalty free most ad agencies, publishers and buyers won't touch them. Beware of what you are getting into. So far, Photographers Direct and my own website have made me the most money.
you too have found that dl # and SI # a bit weird ?
Photographers direct and photo4me have been the 2 paces I have sold some work as well
...Istock is certainly not for everybody...but as I have said...friends of mine have come to get a steady monthly income...not to live on...but their images are not collecting dust either...so how ever one like to look at it !
...Its been a Great Long Weekend so far Patrick !
...hey...what about a coffee or beer...
I hope this can come reality sometime...!

@ Neven S
I reckon you are one of the richest photographer on this globe.
Tell the truth I take images NOT for money but for the sake of my feelings and my desire of being there.
I guess if you think you can sell your images, then good luck.
