An interesting site is
www.luminous-landscapes.com
I think it was mentioned earlier.
Also I found the bookazines great. They have step by step photo tutorials and a disk. Great for learning all the short cuts.
eg, The complete adobe photoshop handbook.......
I would love to find an online community that is sort of a photoshop classroom at the same time. Pick every ones brains for tip and tricks......

I have recently acquired Photoshop CS and bought the corresponding version of the Scott Kelby book. I would recommend it to anyone, very easy to follow.

Christopher... if you can afford $99.00, become a member of NAPP ( on the web) and it has video tutorials, a help on line ( which is fabulous and free) and really great informations... and buy Photoshop for dummies, whatever version you need.... I am totally self taught, and believe me this way, you never forget anything. Also, keep a diary, by your computer, and write things down... you will not be sorry. Best wishes, Judi dunn
try buying a used Photoshop for dummys on ebay, as has been said before if you can afford it, sign up with NAPP, they have 3-10minute tutorials which are easy to follow. above all else try not to be intimidated and experiment, you won't do any damage to your original and screwing up can be fun.
heh, i know what you mean, i still don't know how to use thing and its annoying me!
This website can teach you Photoshop.

There are quite a few websites you can see. How about trying the help section in Photoshop itself- it's pretty handy.
