getting creative with the eos 500D

Hi people, I recently became an owner of an eos 500D which is my first DSLR.

It would be pretty cool to start a thread with creative techniques for this or any similar camera; the goal for me being learning new settings and functions of the camera.

I've been playing a bit with zoom motion blur as seen in my photo blog ( http://emanuel.aminus3.com/image/2010-01-17.html ), which was something I could not do with my old compact.

Post some interesting techniques and what settings you used for them!

Hi!

I remember when I started. God, I was so lost!
In time I realize that the camera is not that important. Of course, I still want to get the new and best models, but don't let your creativity be limited because of the camera or lens that you use.

Practice, practice and practice ... and you'll love it like crazy! :)

Hey there i'm also a 500d user - they are fantastic and highly under rated cameras! If you want some inspiration then check out my page as the majority of my images are taken with the 500d or earlier models :)
