Hi, a Canonet QL19 entered my possession, but I cannot find the battery check button, which according to the manual, posted on this site, should be next to the viewfinder eyepiece but there's nothing there, the part in the red circle simply doesn't exist, it's just the surface material from what the camera is made of, while nothing seems to be out of place or any socket there http://i.imgur.com/ine859f.jpg . Am I doing something wrong?

Hey guys.
New to this so go easy, I'm trying to repair a canonet ql19 newer version and need to know how to adjust the light meter as mine is under exposing by 3 stops. I have checked repair manuals and adjusted a variable resistor but I don't think that can do it. Any help would be much appreciated.
