Background folds and wrinkles!
Is there an easy or simple way of getting rid of wrinkles and folds in large muslin backdrops?
Do those hand steamers I've seen advertised for hanging clothes work?
What do you do about wrinkles and folds?

The "Jiffy" style steamer works well on thin cotton; never tried it on thick stuff.
I prefer velvet type dark fabrics when I want a dark background - it "traps" the light better than flat fabric and resists wrinkles.

Best way to keep your muslin backgrounds neat is to keep them hanging all the time. It pulls them out naturally. Just a small travel steamer works wonders, you really don't need a big machine. When steaming out the wrinkles pull the fabric in the opposite direction of the wrinkle while steaming.
Thanks guys.....it drives me nuts.....do not have the room to keep all of my backgrounds hanging all the time, and I do a lot of portable studio shoots.....
