About me
Currently residing in Ireland, originally from North Wales I started taking an interest in photography as an aid to my other hobby painting and drawing. Consider myself an amateur, and love taking pictures now where ever I go.
Have been using a 5mp Kodak DZ750 but recently invested in an Olympus E400. Still have a lot to learn regarding the digital SLR, but hope to improve my picture taking.
Hoping for useful hints and tips from members of fotocommunity. Some of the member pictures are very inspiring, there are a lot of talented people out there!

Hi there Paul, welcome to the fotocommunity! :-)The idea of fotocommunity is to give beginners, amateurs and professionals a place to share their passion for photography.
You can view and comment the work of others, you can upload your own work to share it and get comments from other people around the world, and you can discuss or ask about anything you might want to know about our common interests.
One of the admins, Dirk Hofmann, wrote a tutorial for new members, and I recommend you take a look at it. It helped me a lot when I joined:
