About me

I have been interested in photography since I started using a very old Brownie that I found in my parents attic when I was about 7 years old. My father was an avid amateur photographer (almost a part-time professional) for over 70 years and continues to take phots today. I took my first real photography course in college in the early 1970's and found I had a knack for capturing images in B&W that others would never attempt. I used my father's old Argus 35 mm for my course work and the professor couldn't believe the quality of some of my images. I took a sabatical from photography for about 20 years and recently bought my first digital camera. So I am getting back into photography slowly but surely. The profile photo was shot as an experiment with my sister's digital 2 years ago this coming February with it propped on a rock an using the shutter timer. It was a lucky shot that worked. I will post some of my most recent attempts using my new camera ASAP. I intend to do some night photography here in Houston which I will post so those that are not familiar with Houston Texas might see it differently than what they may have seen in the movies.
