Great to see you try a variety of subjects. I have a suggestion for you here....instead of using flash...try window light ( or off camera flash or any other type of lightsource..use some black cardboard under the plate...surround the left, back and right side with white cardboard and the lightsource from either left or right above the board...this should give you a more pleasent softer light...have your camera on a tripod and aperature f 11- f 16...
it is also a more appetizing blueberry pie if you leave it whole .
these are just some of my suggetion...and certainly can be fully ignored !
