Isn't that a great expression on her face?

Something I so much admire about cats is that unique combination of
determination and grace of movement they so often pack into their compact furry forms.

This is my little Swiss friend Miezekatze, who adopted me for a delightful hour or so last October in Samedan.

Mieze has just stepped out of the old Sankt Peter parish church, after a quick perambulation
within, to rejoin me as I shoot the "neighborhood" Alps from the church's terrace,

The full story of our meeting, and more photos of her can be found in this blog post:

very determined indeed! a cat on a mission, rather than just a leisurely flaneur… you captured the essence of their feline being and behavior so well! the soundless sneaking, the determination, the keeping one's options open, always making sure one's back is covered, a way-out possible! for mieze that wall seems to be that option, as she's literally "feeling it up" with her tail just to make sure it's there, offering a potential way out – UP!, that is ; )! greetings, sabine. p.s.: my favorite tiny detail is, how her pink nose is secretely corresponding with some of the fallen leaves in color ; ))!
