The Wallace Monument, from the grounds of Stirling Castle.
- standing tall and proud outside the city of Stirling, and overlooking the scene of Scotland’s victory at The Battle of Stirling Bridge.

This is a place where history is something you can touch and feel, as you follow the story of Sir William Wallace, patriot, martyr, and Guardian of Scotland.

For over 140 years, this world-famous landmark has fascinated visitors with its exhibits and displays, telling the story of Sir William Wallace.

At the max focal range of my lens so I lost a little clarity but I still liked the pic...........

Yea, I did use a tripod, I was taking shots of something else and swung round when I saw this vista. Forgot all about the ISO. DOH! :0o
I fully intend to go back and re-do this one when time permits.
    Thanks for the feedback.

    Very nice composition!

Pity the sharpness is not good, which is maybe due to your shutter speed: you can't control 1/8s at 300mm by hand...why did you not increase ISO?
Or did you use a tripod? In that case you probably forgot to turn of the IS, which tends to blur the focus then.

    Cheers, Thijs.
