Hallo Ram,
das Bild erinnerte mich an eine Kampfszene bei Karl May fotografisch umgesetzt!
bei Iso 6400 schöne Schatten, auch die Farbschattierungen des Rauches gut gelöst.
Lichtpunkt rechts oben Blitzlicht? eine wirkliche gute Spannung bei der Reitergruppe!
Langzeitaufnahme?( Vielleicht auf Stativ Iso 100 10 sec bei Blende 8 mit Fernauslöser!)

  No flash was used - I was about 30 to 40 yards away. The light is from lighting towers in the background of the subjects - that is what gives it the dramatic lighting.
  
  Thank you for the suggestion. I hope I have understood your suggestion.
  I did not attempt long exposure because the riders were moving - they rode on the horses from the left side and right at the end, they fired the shots. That is why I had to get around 1/100 sec (in this instance 1/90 sec) to freeze the movement. At 10 sec exposure, I would probably get only the smoke because the riders went away after 3 or 4 sec.
