    ditto jb -
a true smile is a gift to photographers,
and trappy'll smile again, no doubt,
every time she see's the picture.
the subject's opinion is the only one of value
    in a portrait ...
    salut - robert
    ps
send her across the pond with ice-skates and a stick -
she could play on my team
    any time ...

Stu I agree with Daniel. I like the Photo as is. The softness is very good and she is very beautiful. If I had to say anything it would be I may have use a speed lite to remove the shadow on her face. I like it just the way it is anyway. Good Job. Very well composed.

    Regards
    Mike

    Thanks for the critique guys.
I can understand how someone who has never seen the field would think that the 'horizon' is crooked. However I can assure you that the pitch is on a slope from left to right as you look at this picture. I tried to get the crossbar horizontal and the posts as vertical as possible, thats not lens distortion, they need straightening. Since Abdul & Ruud's comments yesterday I have tried an edit of the pic with the pitch square but to me that looks odd.

Thanks for the advice on the use of flash Ruud.

    Hi Abdul,
    Thanks for the critique mate.
I would argue point one though, if you mean there is a slope from left to right that's not a crooked horizon it's a slope on the pitch ;o)
I do agree I should have left a little more space in front of her.
With respect to the over exposure on her face that is due to the time (3.30p.m ish) and bright sunlight so any suggestions how counter that problem would be gratefully appreciated (there was no shade available).
    Thanks again :o)
    Stu.
