The Wren Town
Sir Christpoher Wren übernahm nach dem großen Brand von London im Jahr 1666 die Stadtplanung der Stadt und war der Architekt der St Paul’s Cathedral. Heute eröffnet sich uns sein Stadtbild ganz anders.
Die Inschrift auf seiner Grabplatte in der Krypta der St Paul’s Cathedral gilt aber immer noch für mich als Fotografin: Lector, si monumentum requiris, circumspice („Betrachter, wenn Du ein Denkmal suchst, sieh dich um“)
