The Living Forest (85) : Common Evening Primrose
Last summer the variety of the forest flora was very rich. Look what I found : an Evening Primrose.
The yellow flowers of this plant open in the evening (hence its name) and close by the following noon. This way, it is a great nocturnal source of nectar for moths.
Dutch name : Middelste Teunisbloem
German name : Gemeine Nachtkerze
Latin name : Oenothera biennis
