The Living Forest (558) : Chiffchaff
The chiffchaff is a passerine bird which breeds in open woodlands throughout Europe and Asia and got its name from its simple distinctive song, a repetitive cheerful ‘chiff-chaff’.
It’s a migratory bird, but usually also the first songbird that returns to its breeding area (early March).

German name : Zilpzalp
Latin name : Phylloscopus collybita
