The Living Forest (289) : Evening Primrose
The variety of the forest flora is very rich.
Look what I found this time : an Evening Primrose.
The yellow flowers of this plant open in the evening (hence its name) and close by the following noon.
This way, it’s a great nocturnal source of nectar for moths.
Dutch name : Middelste Teunisbloem
German name : Gemeine Nachtkerze
Latin name : Oenothera biennis
