The Living Forest (246) : Hedge Bindweed
Hedge Bindweed is an attractive plant, with showy trumpet-shaped flowers, that twines around other plants, always in a counter-clockwise direction.
The flowers are produced from late spring to the end of summer.
Just like its brother, the Field Bindweed (see picture below), also Hedge Bindweed is considered as an agricultural pest by farmers.
Dutch name : Haagwinde
German name : Echte Zaunwinde
Latin name : Calystegia sepium (prev. Convolvulus sepium)
