The Living Forest (241) : Lost…….
Somewhere in a forest I spotted this lonely domestic pigeon, completely lost.
Maybe she became the victim of a thunderstorm or lack of sun or anywhere flown against or just sick ?
No idea, but I do know that she will not live long in the forest.
A domestic pigeon is not able to provide its own food. Soon she will be the prey of a raptor or a fox…….

German name : Stadttaube
Latin name : Columba livia
The domestic pigeon descends from the rock pigeon which can be seen in the picture below.

Ja, die Waldtauben haben ein sehr schönes Gefieder und unterscheiden so dadurch von ihren Stadtkollegen.Sehr gut gefällt mir dein Bild, Mark.
