The Living Forest (234) : Greater Stitchwort
At this moment lots of Greater Stitchwort flowers are growing on the forest floor in small carpets.
Greater Stitchwort is a beautiful and pretty flower appearing in woodland in springtime.
Its name originates from its ancient herbal use of alleviating a "stitch" in the side.
Dutch name : Grote Muur
German name : Grosse Sternmiere
Latin name : Stellaria holostea
