The engine that never happened
Built for the Avro Arrow which was cancelled for political reasons (no examples of the Arrow remain),
the Orenda Iroquios engine was never used in that airframe .
A single Iroquois was tested on a B27 bomber , and its 26,000 pounds of thrust was more than the four engines of the B27 produced .
