Terra Cotta [Warriors] and Horses (Xi'an)

Some Terra Cotta Horses from the Army of Qin Shi Huang, the first Emperor of China.

The figures were discovered by local farmers in Lintong District, Xi'an in the Shaanxi province, near the Mausoleum of the First Qin Emperor. They were dating ca. 300 years B.C.

Up to day they have found over 9.000 live-size figures like soldiers, chariots, horses, but also figures of musicians, acrobats and other.

And they have just been dicovered more ...
