State Forest Spring
Sometimes I forget that there are still beautiful, pristine areas in Colorado! If you live in Denver metro area like I do, it is disheartening to see more and more beautiful areas being gobbled up by urban sprawl. State Forest is very far from the urban sprawl and a bit difficult to get to. It is a long way through a windy Poudre Canyon. following the wild Poudre River on one side. There is a gas station where the canyon begins outside of Fort Collins, and for good reason! You better get your tank filled because there is not a station for many miles in both directions!
