Springtime along the Great Falls Overlook Trail

In a shaded forest glen, a pool fed by rushing rapids (*) and the inviting pastel greens of new growth in
Springtime, along the Great Falls Overlook Trail in Potomac, Maryland on an April afternoon last year.

At Great Falls, the Potomac River builds up speed and force as it plunges over a series of steep,
jagged rocks and flows through its scenic gorge. But here, the ambience is a bit more gentle.

The scene was captured on Fujichrome Provia-400X transparency film,
through a Yashica ML 135mm f/2.8 lens on a Contax 137MD SLR.
