I love the technique you use John, stunning portrait and thanks for your constuctive advice, I shall put it into practice on the weekend.

Both of the Sara shots I posted were taken at night, under a tree in a snowstorm. I used an SB800 strobe with a diffuser - I directed the flash as much as possible away from the model but I was very close to her at the time so some bleaching occurred - but I like the result.

It would be nice to use a diffuser or if you use a flash gun, bounce it.
Looking forward to see her beautiful face once more, so I can copy it in my HD !
You are correct - it's not B&W - I actually have another one that is all B&W - I messed up in my file naming - but I like this one of Sara so I uploaded it anyway.

Although not realy black and white, i like it, the faint colors, the composition... :-)totto
