Salute

On 6th December the east coast of England experienced its worst floods for over 50 years. It was expected the small town of Sandwich would suffer badly from flooding but, thankfully, the water did not rise as far as feared and the actually damage was mostly small. However, the historic Salutation Gardens, on low land next to the river suffered particularly badly with an unknown amount of damage and possible salt water contamination. The Salutation is a special place for me in the town and many of my floral photographs were taken there. This is one of the last taken before the flood.
