Rocky Mountain Iris Buds
One of my favorite wildflowers in Colorado is the wild Iris. They bloom in to mid spring to early summer. Usually you don't see many of these beauties and they seem to disapear very quickly these days! Maybe it's due to the severe dryness we seem to have in the West, as these wildflowers like to grow in moist areas.
