Rockefeller Park Greenhouse

The Rockefeller Park Greenhouse was conceived in 1903 and finished in 1905, on part of the 270 acres donated to the city of Cleveland by industrialist, John D. Rockefeller.

The billionaire's much-publicized tax dispute with Cuyahoga County and the subsequent death of his wife, Laura, ultimately pushed Rockefeller and Standard Oil to leave Cleveland for good and return to New York in 1917.

vegetation as a welcoming committee for the surprisingly swift old lady that, despite her seemingly leisurely pose with her hands folded behind her back, is literally being spit out into the company of flowers… it's the creative blur that does it – and it does it great! ; )) greetings, sabine. p.s.: interesting info to go with it! i just love the somewhat old-fashioned and slightly dilapidating lettering above the entrance – it conveys the nostalgic feeling of a lost era…

Very nice Ken, good shutter speed gives a ghost like impression to the shot

Excellent work. I like your use of shutter speed to get that man as he moved across your shot. The medium of B/W ,I feel, really suits this scene and the story you have told with it.

    :))
