Our Lady of Mount of Carmo Church Altar. Rio de Janeiro Old Cathedral / Series: Rio Architecture.
The interior of this 1761 awesome baroc interior church is crafted in wood covered in gold. It is all original and was recently restored for the 300 Years Aniversary of the Portuguese Court arrival in Brazil. It is one of the biggest oldest buildings in Rio and is situated in XV Square just in front of Guanabara Bay, downtown.
