Once a Living Forest

full of animals and birds ..... the sad aftermath of a fire .... taken somewhere in the north western United States in 2008 ...

Once a fire or bad insects got hold of a forest like this … it takes a lot of time to recreate… but look back to former open mining areas - nowadays a mostly green agricultural scenery!
Nature wins. Always

With every dead tree, an important ally in the fight against climate change is lost forever....
Let's hope that this forest comes back to life. but that takes time - too much time?

Déjà...en 2008, et à présent encore, ces incendies de forêts tuent une nature indispensable à la vie de la planète, aux humains aussi, forcément...Quelle tristesse de voir ces troncs et branches noircis par le feu, tués par les flammes! Des squelettes debout! Excellente photo documentaire, un témoignage toujours valable cette année où les forêts du monde brûlent partout, en Europe particulièrement aussi! Oh, my God, what a disaster for nature and the wildlife that inhabits it. Your photo shows a desolate landscape, Adele. But having experienced these disasters on the Mediterranean coast in France, after a fire, within a decade, the flora but also the fauna reconstitute themselves almost identically. Nature has an incredible strength, fortunately. Chris.

Das sieht schlimm aus... die Natur wird sich aber wieder erholen..
leider dauert es einige Jahre... so auch der Borkenkäferwald im Harz..
ob wir einen Harzwald noch sehen werden ... dafür sind wir wohl zu alt.
Ein trauriges Anblick... gut von dir dokumentiert und gezeigt

C'est un spectacle hideux pourtant, la vie reprendra, c'est sûr, mais nous, nous ne verrons pas la nouvelle forêt.

So traurig anzusehen und die Vorstellung, wieviel Tiere dort gestorben sind macht mich noch trauriger. Es wird Jahrzehnte dauern bis sich der Wald wieder erholt wenn überhaupt und so sieht es in vielen Ländern aus.

Früher hat man solche Bilder nur in Filmen gesehen...Heute sind sie Realität...
Es ist erschreckend und traurig, dass wir sowas erleben müssen.
Hoffentlich ist das irgendwie noch zu stoppen.
Erstklassige Dokumentation.
