Vorsicht!Ein Mensch wähnt, in der fremden Stadt,
wo er Bekannte gar nicht hat,
in einem Viertel, weltverloren,
dürft ungestraft er Nase bohren,
weil hier, so denkt er voller List,
er ja nicht der ist, der er ist.
Zwar er entsinnt sich noch entfernt
des Spruchs, den er als Kind gelernt:
„Ein Auge ist, das alles sieht,
auch was in finstrer Nacht geschieht!“
Doch hält er dies für eine Phrase
und bohrt trotzdem in der Nase.
Da ruft’s – er möcht versinken schier –
„Herr Doktor, was tun Sie denn hier?“
Der Mensch muss, obendrein als Schwein,
der, der er ist, nun wirklich sein.
Moral: Zum Auge Gottes kann
auf Erden werden jedermann.
