Michaelmas daisy
The michaelmas daisy, also known as Italian aster, is an ornamental plant native to the European mountains (Pyrenees, Alps, Carpathians).
The aster genus is popular too for use in gardens with over 1000 hybrids and cultivars worldwide.
It’s especially valued for its autumn blooming rich coloured flowers (september to sometimes late october).
Dutch name : Bergaster
German name : Berg-Aster (auch Kalk-Aster genannt)
Latin name : Aster amellus
